In Japan, freedom of speech is protected by the constitution, but there are some limitations in practice. The country has laws that prohibit hate speech, defamation, and obscenity. Additionally, there is a culture of self-censorship in Japan, particularly in the media and political spheres. Despite these limitations, Japan generally enjoys a high level of freedom of speech compared to many other countries in the region. **

Participate and empower are both important concepts in creating positive change. Participating involves actively engaging in activities, discussions, and decision-making processes. Empowering, on the other hand, involves giving individuals the tools, resources, and support they need to take control of their own lives and make their own decisions. Both are important in creating inclusive and sustainable change, as participation allows for diverse perspectives and voices to be heard, while empowerment enables individuals to take ownership of their own lives and communities. Ultimately, a combination of both participation and empowerment is necessary for creating meaningful and lasting change. **

On November 9, 1989, Schabowski's note contained information about new travel regulations for East Germans. Sartre, Aristotle, and Kant all discuss the concept of freedom, but they approach it from different perspectives. Sartre emphasizes radical freedom, arguing that individuals are completely free to choose their actions and are responsible for their choices. Aristotle, on the other hand, sees freedom as the ability to act in accordance with one's true nature and virtues, believing that true freedom comes from living a virtuous life. Kant views freedom as the ability to act according to rational principles, emphasizing the importance of moral autonomy and the duty to follow universal moral laws. Despite these differences, all three philosophers agree that freedom is essential for human existence and moral responsibility. **
